hi all - I recently took my virtual oath ceremony and am awaiting my certificate of citizenship. I'd like to apply for my passport asap because I need to visit family in the US. If possible I'd like to put my local residence on the passport application (in Quebec) and list the mailing address for the passport in the US. I can enter the US already on my US passport, and then wait there for new passport to arrive before coming back later in the year. Does this sound feasible or even possible? would the two different addresses on the passport application cause problems? And if the system did mess up and send my passport to Quebec, would I be able to get back into Canada with a copy of my certificate (I'd be driving, not flying). Thanks in advance for the help!
