Hey,
I want to sponsor my mom and dad to come to Canada. I know I have to show my tax returns for the last three years. We will be 3 people (Me, mom and dad), so the income requirements should be around 50,000.

My question is say I show the 3 year tax returns and apply. But I do not get in, do I have to show my tax return again for the fourth year. Or will my application be locked in for the first 3 years I showed.

Thanks

IRCC's website says you have to maintain your income until your parents land in Canada as PR. If the whole procedure takes 2 years, they will likely ask you to submit NOA again, or check with CRA.

So I have to keep making 50,000 until my parents land, even if that takes maybe 6, 7 years.

I have to continuously make 50,000 for 7 years then?

It doesn't take 6-7 years now for processing. It takes 1-2 years typically. Yes - you have to maintain your income during this time and make sure you meet LICO.

In our case, it took a merely 10 months!
