Hi there, my wife and I are a little confused about how to obtain a temporary Canadian passport for our baby in Philippines so once we get the final approval they can both cross over here to Canada where I am. Does my wife need to apply physically in person at the Manila Canadian embassy? She lives in Davao can't she simply apply by mail by means of courier? And is it true our baby needs to have both a Filipino and Canadian passport in order to leave once were approved? She is under the impression our baby needs to have a Filipino passport in order to leave, which we already applied for, but wont be released until sometime December. I'm just not sure where to find this info on the CIC website any links you can give me would really help us out. Thank you.

The baby will requires papers of a Canadian to enter Canada (probably even to board the plane).

This should answer your passport questions:
