Question about Medical Request and Reports

Hello fellow members,

I received a medical request today. I can't explain my feelings....I'm happy because my application is moving.

I have few questions below and I'm looking forward to be clarified on the following:

1. Visa is valid for one year. From what date does the one year start?
a. Medical Request date on the letter?
b. Actual date when medical examination is done?
c. Date when Ottawa, Ontario Canada receives the medical results?

2. Do you have a chance to see the medical reports before DMP sends it to Ottawa?

3. Will the physician seal the envelop(s) with you in order for you to verify that all reports/results are included? (the letter says to ensure physician about answering sections b through e of medical report form, attaches original lab results, and forward original chest x-ray(s)?

February 2009 - sent initial application
July 2009 - sent complete application to Buffalo
March 2010 - application transferred to Los Angeles
April 2010 - received request to submit some more docs
May 2010 - medical request

1. The date you have the medical obviously.
2. No, the DMP is supposed to inform you if you have a serious illness that you don't know about.
3. The DMP will do his/her job without any input from you and no you will get to see him/her "sealing the envelope"
