hi all - we're new here :) we've searched the archives and found some answers to our questions, but we're hoping to get some current information - the info we've found so far is a bit outdated :) can anyone tell us what the average cost of a medical exam is in Ontario, or what you've paid yourself within the last year? also, is there a difference in cost between different areas (southern Ontario vs northern Ontario, for example, or in the GTA vs out of the GTA)? also, has anyone had their applications denied based on health reasons, or do you know what would cause a denial? our applicant has diabetes (controlled through diet), irritable bowel syndrome (also controlled through diet), and high blood pressure (controlled through prescription meds). has anyone been refused immigration over these illnesses, or does anyone have them and has still been granted immigration?

Hi

The best thing to do is call the offices and ask their prices.

As for being denied, it depends on the who the applicant is. Spouses and dependent children are exempt from the excessive demand clause and won't be denied. Parents/grandparents are not exempt and could be refused because of health conditions.
