I am an international student on a study permit and am changing university in September, my current course is not interesting and I feel that continuing is a waste of time. Is it possible for me to leave uni half way through and wait till my course in September starts, and if so would it affect my permit. Would it be on to leave my current uni and wait till September to start or would leaving uni right now mean my study permit expires?

Yes - you can do that.

Make sure you don't work at all between stopping your old program and starting your new.

Also, make sure you aren't out of school for more than 90 days - otherwise your study permit will likely be automatically canceled.

is the 90 days out of uni a rule or can it be extended?
