Hello,

my partner and I are applying this week for our work permits. Related to my partner application (a closed work permit for a NOC62020 job) in the IMM5710e form, it says: "Have you taken any test from a designated agency to assess your English?".

My question is: the lawyer said to us that, even if there is no official language requirement, the officers could refuse the application because of the language. She recommended my partner take the Duolingo test to support the application but, should my partner answer yes or no to the form question? I ask because I know that Duolingo is not a designated agency).

Thanks for your time

If you don’t have IELTS,CELPIP or PTE then the answer is no. Assume you are outside Canada. When does LMIA expire?

We are INSIDE Canada. My partner employer haven´t received yet the LMIA response, we are waiting for that
