Question about Ielts and Course selection...Please help

Hello guys please help me if you can.I did my B.com back in 2000 and did accounts job for 3 years.Then i went to UK and got 2 diplomas: 1)Professional Graduate diploma in IT 2)Itegrated graduate diploma in Business Studies both from London Crown College and now i am planning to do my MBA from any canadian University.
Is it the right course to choose???
Do i need to do any english course again as i did Ielts in 2003 and got 5.5 band???
Please share your best knowledge with me.

Yes, you can.

Yes, you need IELTS band score of at least 6.0 (As you are aspiring for MBA, most likely your prospective MBA School would ask for 6.5 IELTS with no section under 6.0). Apart from this, you have to score well in GMAT! (I would recommend taking cut off with 550+).

Almost all MBA school expects some sort of work experience from the prospective applicants. Since you have 3+ years of Work experience and the same fact would be highly crucial factor in your profile.

In general you need,

1. GMAT score
2. IELTS score of 6.5 (few ask for 6.0)
3. Statement of Purpose (very important part of your application…In case of “Telephonic Interview” you will be asked almost everything from your SOP)
4. CV (main focus is on your Work Experience)
5. Education Records.

Apply at least 8 to 9 months in advance of your probable intake date.

IELTS is an individual requirement on part of your school and CHC. Both are different things ! For CHC (India) you need minimum of 6.0 IELTS overall band score, but for school criteria is different as I said earlier few MBA school prefer 6.5 overall band score (with no section under 6.0).

Yes, you have to attach photocopies of your previous mark sheets and degree/diploma certificates. It’s very important!


For IELTS you have to attach one photocopy of your TRF.
