Question about GCMS notes

I am a bit confused because my notes say under eligibility status:Recommend Passed

but the location of my notes says "interview shelf" and open.
also under paper file there's "application assignment due date oct 18/2013"

can anybody please clarify this for me?

I believe interview shelf means you have an interview coming up.

hi goatlove, i asked my friend who is an immigration lawyer and she recons Assignment Date means the date the file will be assigned to the final VO for processing, therefore you can expect once reviewed by them they will either schedule an interview or waive it. Your status on ecas should change on that date as well.

I am not certian, but I think your file is just going under registration of information and initial review. I will try to call my friend again (although she is avoiding me now) lol and ask if she knows.

that's great ;D

so does this recommend passed mean that even if they request an interview, they will be interviewing you already pretty much believing your relationship is genuine ?
