Question about emailing CIC

Would it in any way harm my application if I emailed CIC asking them for information about my application?? PLEASE HELP!

It will not harm your application emailing CIC to know status of your application. has the application now longer than the normal processing time? IF YES you can ask them

I asked them to give an update on my application. They said my application is in process in the embassy and then gave me a tracking number.

It dosent say much expect that my application is in process in the ABU DHABI embassy thats all

Btw the email is for people who applied in abu dhabi only.
