Hello to everyone reading this, I'll offer a preemptive thank you to anyone who can help.

About three years ago I was taken into the station and processed for underage drinking. I made a deal with the assistant District Attorney and this charge was entirely dropped and never made it on my record, as far as I know. Additionally, about two years ago I was fined $200 for underage drinking, this charge was not removed and is still on my record.

I was accepted to attend a 1 year MA at UBC and I was wondering if these will interfere with my ability to get a study permit? Should I include the charge that got dropped on my application? If there is still chance what documents should I attain and submit with my application? I've already ordered a police certificate from my home state, the state I attended college and from the state in which my charge was dropped.

Also, since I am a US resident, does it make more sense to apply at the border crossing or ahead of time, which I intend to do as of now, in this instance?

Thank you once again to whoever is knowledgeable in this topic!
