Question About Birth Certificate Requirement for Startup Visa

Hello everyone,

My startup has been accepted by a business incubator in Canada and I have received my support letter to apply for Canada Immigration.

My questions is as follows.

The document checklist for Startup visa shows requirement of birth certificate for all the applicants, but my birth date on my birth certificate is different than the one on all other documents including passport, school LC , etc. Now it's practically impossible to get the date rectified in my Birth Certificate since the hospital I was born in has been closed and the authorities at municipal corporation are not willing to change my birth date in my Birth Cert.

I asked for the advice from my business incubator that is supporting my startup and they inquired from immigration canada on my behalf and the answer they got from immigration canada is that, they don't think that a birth cert would be required for principal or adult applicant and is required for minor children who are dependant.

So I am not sure what to consider correct? If I go by their email that they sent to our business incubator, the birth certificate is not required however the document checklist suggests that its required.

Can someone please help?

Why don't you email CIC yourself? If they can ask CIC, so can you!
