Hi everyone, can somebody help me/guide me on how to fill the question 12b on the application? I've neer filed my taxes until this year since I came to Canada (2014). So this year ( April 2018) I submitted all my taxes at once (2014,2015,2016 and 2018). My question is about the field "Required to File", how do I know my answer is "yes" or "no" ? Any guides I can use to base myself? Thanks in advance :D

I would say that you can answer yes to this since you've filed a return for every year you were here - albeit at one time.

If there's a yes in the "taxes filed" column, I doubt they even check the other one...
I'm all cases, if you filed your taxes, just put yes everywhere.
A no in the first column only matters if the applicant didn't file the taxes that year, since IRCC needs to figure out if the taxes obligations were respected that year or not.

I'm curious at this question too,. this chart only shows 4 years... shouldn't it be 5 years from 2013 - 2018 ?

This is incorrectly filled. You MUST list five years: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013. Doesn't matter if you were in Canada or not in 2013. You MUST list fiver years. It literally says that above the field.

Regarding the required question: As stated above, as long as you filed, the required column doesn't matter. Assuming that you didn't live in Canada in 2013, you put "required no, filed no" as an answer.
