Hello everyone,
Alright my husband received an email today confirming they have received his application and that they are sending a letter by mail for further information on how to obtain his final police certificate. First thing in the letter is the processing time which i understand then there is
important informationThis is what i am confused about, it states the following:

In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide or do the following as soon as possible

1. To facilitate matching of documents requested, please attach a label with your file number on top right corner of each document that you send to our office.

My question is what matching of documents requested?????? they do not specify any documents in this letter, do they mean for future letters they will be sending us?

2. Immigrant visas have a validity limited to one year from the date when the medical examination were initiated or the validity of the passport, which ever is first. Please ensure to have a valid passport, no extensions are granted once visas are issued.

Thanks everyone i hope thios makes sence

Canda - to my understanding here's what I gather:

1. Being that you said they will be sending you a letter by mail regarding how to obtain a final police certificate - once you are ready to submit that police certificate to them they are asking you to affix a blank label and write the file# they have provided for you [as other forums read some applicants received pages of labels with barcodes on them to affix to any additional document/letter they may send in] - you may want to contact the office that will be submitting the letter to you to ensure you have the correct file#. This way when the police certificate which was requested is received they can take this document and add it to the original packge received by you and your sponsor.

2. When they issue you your visa - the expiry date on the visa given will either be 1 year from your medical being taken or on when your passport expires - which ever date comes first.

Thanks DKA i believe your right. My husband seems to think that info is for when we have to send future info

You need to wait for the letter that they sent you. It most likely (99% sure) is an original letter requesting your husband's Federal Police Record from the PGR. He has to bring it with him when he goes to the PGR in Mexico City to get this document.

You'll need to label the envelope with the police record and anything else they'll be requesting on the letter.

Just tell your husband to keep checking his mailbox. Hope you get it before me (mine took 5 weeks to get here, we're in Toronto).

Thanks bonbon we are in Mexico so hopefully that reduces the time. We plan on going to MC to get the police certificate and chilin out there for 10 days until we get it. Would you recommend that?
and im a little confused as to what one we really need to get i have read so many horror stories that they didn't get the right one. Any advise?

You should get the one that the Embassy requests on the letter that you're waiting for. Waiting out the days for it to be ready in D.F. is a good idea, and I suggest calling the PGR every 3 days or so to check if the certificate is ready. Mine was ready before those 10 days passed.

great will do thanks for the advise. Hope we receive the letter soon. Bonbon9 what is your status at the moment? what are you waiting for?

PPR! (hopefully)

But yeah pretty much, waiting for the embassy to let us know if there will be an interview or anything.

Good luck bonbon9 keep me posted k? Just got back to Mexico from Canada and check the mail, no word yet but hopeful it will arrive sooner han 5 weeks.

bonbon9 do you think your going to get another letter? or email regarding the interview that will hopefully be waived:)
Still waiting for the letter here in Mexico, will let you know when we receive it. Actually can i ask you what documents they asked you for to get the constantia(CAR)?
thanks

I'm expecting to receive an email soon, I doubt they will use regular mail to let me know about the interview or PPR.
