Hi,
I have a question regarding residency requirements. I recently renewed my PR card after completing 730 days within the last five years, and I am currently in India.


I would like to apply for Canadian citizenship, but I have completed only around 930 days out of the required 1,095 days of physical presence. I am confused about the eligibility criteria.


Is it mandatory to complete the full 1,095 days within the five-year period before renewing the PR card? Or can I complete the remaining required days after renewing my PR card and then apply for citizenship?

You need to have 1095 days in the 5 years preceding the date of your application for citizenship. Your Pr card renewal date is irrelevant.
