Thanks dok.
If i need some extra time to complete my studies, what do i have to do. After one year, do i have to leave canada. or can i extend it.
If you're unable to complete your program within the one year based on tangible reason, then extension is possible. You may also have the following options available should you wish to extend your stay in Canada after your one year program:
1. You may apply for another master degree or PhD program in your university or in a different university in Canada. Normally, you can do this while you're in your final term in the ME program. So upon acceptance you can extend your study permit without having to leave Canada.
2. You may apply for PGWP (one year in your case). Afterwards, if you find a permanent work then you may apply for work permit.
3. There are also Provincial programs that lead to Permanent Recidence in Canada. You may also try your luck. When you get to Canada, you can inquire more about these programs.
Good luck buddy.
