Dear experts,

I have a friend in Canada, she is ready to pay 10K CAD, as part of my tuition fee. I will be paying rest of the fee for 1 year and using that as proof of 1 year fee paid. I have a prior refusal on 220 a.
I need to understand if it is okay when friend pays tuition fee. I can also attach a notarised gift deed from her.
Will that cause refusal? The receipt from DLI wont show who paid the money.

I need your help here. Thank you!

Assume you informed IRCC who paid the tuition. Are you in a relationship? This is a very unusual and may lead to denial. Having extended family provide funds for international students can sometimes be a concern for IRCC so having a friend pay your tuition while claiming it is a gift has a high chance of being a concern for IRCC.
