Query regarding Transit Visa for London for Canadian PR and Indian National

Hello There,

I am an Indian National and a Canadian Permanent Resident, planning my travel to India next month. Could you please answer my following query :

My flight is from Toronto - London - Delhi, and I have a layover of 8 hrs at London Heathrow airport. Could you please let me know that being a Canadian PR, do I need a transit visa to go out of Heathrow airport for few hours and get back to the airport by the time of my flight to Delhi, or can I just go out without a transit visa??
