Query Regarding NOC Code

Hello All,

Am new to the express entry program.After going through the valuable insights from your blog.i have started the process by getting a IELTS exams(Overall score= 8 Bands) ,My CRS Score is 454.

I have a query regarding the NOC code , and need your help.

I have a masters in computer science from Mumbai university and 6 yrs of work experience in Human Resource .My last designation at my company was HR Manager.

NOC code : 0112 description matches with my work experience and responsibilities but the employment requirement (Education qualification ) is different from the education point of view.

My question :

1) Can i apply the same code 0112 as it matches the main duties? or the entire details under the NOC code should match completely
2) Currently i am not employed ,will that effect my chance for a invitation to apply

1. Yes, you can apply with NOC 1112. NOC and education is independent while you apply under Express Entry. While selecting the NOC, the duties and responsibilities mentioned in the NOC should be a close match with the actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you at the respective job. You need not match the duties and responsibilities word by word, but the idea is to have the closest match in terms of the spirit of the duties and responsibilities. Also, NOC should be selected on the basis of the match of actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you rather than the designation match in the NOC list.
2. Not it will not affect your chances.
