Query regarding company shut down while applying for PR in canada.

Hello everyone,
My friend is living in Canada for past 4 years now and He has recently received a PR invitation. He is from India and has Indian work experience as well but his company back in India has shut down and now when we are to upload all documents about his Indian work experience, what do we do?.
The documents we already have as an asset are :
1. Offer letter from company on cover letter mentioning his roles, responsibilities in an organization.
2. Although his salary was in cash, because of the smaller size of company, we have all his paystub receipts with the owner's signature.
3. The proof of the attached document about his company's existence when he applied for a student visa for Canada 4 years back.

How will IRCC be able to contact his company?
Can We add colleague references who worked in India with him?
Also, we are thinking to attach a self-attested letter of explanation where we can mention all details about the company's shut down.
Is all this enough?
Please help me out with the right suggestions.

IRCC won't try to contact his company. They will either decide that the documentary evidence is sufficient or not sufficient and act accordingly.
