Query about work visa stamping.

My name is Mansheg Singh, I live in canada and i have a valid work permit right now.
I have applied for a work visa stamping but due to upcoming Christmas vacations it will be taking a longer time than usual and i have to go to india on January 4th of 2020.
So my immigration lawyer, who applied for my work visa has recommended me that once my biometrics is done and my passport request is in my hands, then I can also apply for work visa stamp from India as well.
I just wanted to confirm if that happens or not?
If yes, then what is the document requirement and how much time does it take for the visa to get stamped?
And if there is any other information regarding my matter please let me know about that.

You can theoretically request the counterfoil be affixed in India but you need to request that from IRCC.

You mean to say that i need to have a passport request for stamp from IRCC?

Well that's where the passport request comes from.

Once you get passport request, as IRCC will not yet know you are in India, you will need to raise a webform and request the visa be finalized in India. They will send you a revised passport request. But it can take 30 days for a webform to be answered.
