Dear All,

I just wanter to know that i have applied the FSW program with the timelines given on the left side. Iam working in the governemnt organization however i donot have government passport rite now and even i applied for FSW with ordinary passport but currently in my organization there is some strictness regarding obtaining the government passport. Iam worried that by making government passport, what would be the effect on my application and should i delay the process of obtaining government passport or should proceed for it as it wont affect the application? Need your urgent guidance on it.

Further, if i go for change of government passport, then do i need to inform LVO about the change as my passport number shall be changed from the initial filled application details.

Looking forward for your prompt response on the matter. Thanks

1. CIC won't issue the COPR to a person holding a Special/Diplomat passport, you will require an ordinary passport.

But dear as per my understanding that is for diplomatic passports like ministers etc whose passport is not ordinary. Further, government passports color is same as ordinary only government employee stamp is given at the signature page which page is usually not required by LVO or CIC.

Need further comments on it

Hi, PMM is right. You can not use a diplomatic/government passport/passport with government employee stamp to obtain a PR visa from any country. It's just not done. It would be advisable to retain your ordinary citizen's passport for receiving your PR visa. Cheers.

Dear thanks for your response. Well these days i consulted 2 to 3 immigration consultants and they said that in you case passport shall remain even ordinary while governemnt, official and service passports are separate color passports like in pakistan they are red n blue and my passport after these changes would again remain ordinary green color so no need to worry. They also assured me that like my case, many of their cleints have received immigration visas and they are enjoying their life in canada.

Thanks once again for all your time.....All the best to all who are in the in phase of process of application, wish we get our dream soon.
