Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi Guys,

I sent my application with documents. Today I received a letter asking for a new Demand Draft. The one I got made was Payable at Canada and has been returned back. I am not sure about the reason but they say something like "Refer to maker correspondent wired for confirmation. Please represent or call". Has anyone received this before? I will have to go to my bank and get another DD made payable at New Delhi. Also, I will call the number they gave. In the letter they have mentioned that they need a new DD payable at New Delhi.
So, I will be sending the DD again. Can I deliver it by hand to the CHC or there is a compulsion that I have to send it through mail or courier? I am not sure and it might sound stupid to ask this but can I deliver my application by hand? The CHC is closeby my house. If I courier it then it is delivered the next day. Whereas if I have to deliver by hand then I can go and do that right away.

Please guide.

Thanks.

They will not take the DD by hand. You will have to courier it. You either become a courier person and deliver it, which is not advisable.
The DD should be in favor of Canadian High Commission and 19900/- Check website for updated RPRF fee.

Best of Luck

Hi

I am sending my application and DD would be in teh name of "The Receiver General for Canada".

How it defined that it would be payabale at Canada or New Delhi. Please let me know I dnt want it to get returned.

In the letter they have mentioned CAD 490 which means I have to pay in CAD rather than INR. I am not sure but I think there should be no problem getting a CAD based DD Payable at India Location (New Delhi in this case). While getting the DD from local bank (ICICI) I can tell them that it should be CAD payable at New Delhi.

Am I right?

Meena the Processing fee is to be sent to Sydney Payable at Canada in Favor of The Receiver General for Canada 550/- CAD
Once the application is forwarded to Local Visa office then the RPRF fee has to be paid in Canadian High Commssion payable at New Delhi for 19900 INR.

Do not confuse yourself

13. FEE PAYMENT
Consult the Fees section of our Web site or the Guide for Skilled Worker Applicants
to calculate your fees. You must include a bank draft payable to the Canadian High
Commission for the Right of permanent residence fee for yourself and all
accompanying family members. Note that the processing fees are not refundable at
this stage. Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian rupees at the exchange
rate currently in use at the Canadian High Commission. Do not enclose cash
.

while sending the RPRF to New Delhi, it is advisble to send DD in INR @ 19900 because this will take 2 days to clea in Delhi. If you get a DD in CAD @ 490, it comes in the form of a Certified cheque in India and not as a DD. This cheque will go to Canada to get cleared and is not cleared at the local level, so the clearance will definitely take many more days (even weeks).

So, if they give an option, pay in local currency.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info.

But the letter that I got from CHC clearly mentions and has ticked the CAD option. Both INR & CAD options were there but they checked the CAD option. Is it advisable to still so ahead and get a DD in INR made?

Can someone please clear this out. In the letter they have mentioned CAD. Should I call CHC and ask if INR DD will work? Or do I need to send CAD DD only as asked in the letter?

Also, do they answer such queries over the CHC phone number for New Delhi?

Sent a DD for 19,900 to CHC on 21st June. Got it back today. They are asking for $490 CAD payable at Canada now.

This is really very strange. It says that DD can be in INR or CAD. I do not know why are they saying that.

It says it can be in INR or CAD. I think they are daam slow while updating it.
I would suggest somebody else who has recently sent a DD for RPRF and got it processed or there DD has been encashed would be the best one to update on it.

funny,

i sent on 25th Jun.. and they encashed my DD in INR.

But, there's no receipt or e-CAS status change yet...

The first DD that i sent was in CAD. SO, I think they entered the file in the system saying i paid 490CAD. But that DD was not cashed. So, I sent INR. But since the system was having CAD 490 as the fee to be paid they refused my INR DD and now asked for CAD. Its been 1.5 months and my case is stuck in DD clearance. The question is application processing is far fetched :(.
