Hello All,

I intend to apply for OWP soon. My husband is in Canada with PGWP valid till 2020 and is currently working. I also have a toddler aged 3 yrs. Can you please help me address some of my queries around documentation and forms needed for application under this situation

1) Do I need to Apply separately for TRV for my child or should I be applying for study permit? should I fill IMM5257 and submit the same along with my OWP form IMM1295?
2) I dont have any job offer - Do I still need to produce my current and previous employment letters and my education certificates and mark transcripts?
3) Do I need to take any language proficiency test for OWP as there is a question on the same in the form IMM1295? I did take IELTS in 2014 .. do i indicate I have taken one in the form ? as I believe the IELTS scores are valid only for 2 years.
4) Based on my queries can someone suggest how much fees do I need to pay to cover myself and my daughter?

Thanks :)

Follow the guide on above link, you can put your daughter as accompanying minor with you being a principal applicant.

Here is the link for all necessary document list and fees

Hi rj2301,

Thanks for your response.
However, I have been through all the links and needed documentation pertaining to my OWP.
The only query that I face is on ensuring the right documentation for my toddler.. Was thinking about study permit but my child is too young for that ..While the other option is TRV application for my child I am worried that validity would be an issue as they would grant only 6 month stay for her. Any advice on how should I ensure that my toddler get the same validity of stay as her parents ?

Thanks

CIC will give TRV for same period of time your husband has OWP for, for you and your son/daughter.
You can apply for study permit when age reached for education from within canada

Thanks rj2301

Lets hope my daughter gets permission to stay for as long as we can .. I also think VO at the port of entry will also be making that decision isnt it ?

Yes immigration officer at the landing will give you your permits once you land and you can explain your situation and they will help you in regards to your query.
Best of luck
