Hi, I am hoping to move to Canada to live and work for about a year with the option to stay longer if possible. I don't have any kind of job offer, but am hoping this is the right application/visa to apply for, or do I need to look at a different type?

I work as PBX Telecoms Engineer/IT Network admin for a telecoms company, although have separate Masters and Bachelors degrees in Electronic Engineering from a UK Uni, but havent really used the degree itself or worked in the field I studied for since I graduated several years ago. Would I be covered under the 2147 Computer Engineers NOC?

Also, I was born, lived and schooled in the UK all my life. Do I still need to take an english language test? it seems a bit ridiculous coming from the country that invented the English language (so to speak) that I still need to prove I can speak it! It is my mother tongue!

Additionally, do I actually need to get an ECA as it says I need one if submitting a foreign educational credential, but if I don't submit it, is it still needed, if you see what Im saying? Or would I then have no chance of actually getting the Visa, so wouild need it anyway.

Thanks for any help you can give! This is all very confusing!

I'll help with two of your questions. IELTS is mandatory regardless of you background. Failure to include IELTS results is an automatic refusal.

If you want to receive points for your education (towards the 67 point total) then you will need to have your education formally assessed.
