Hi all,

I am now 28 and would like to study for Master program in Canada, I am married and with a child of almost 2 years old right now
My friends tell me if I am applying study permit mentioning my son and wife coming with me and if my wife wanna get a work permit,
it will be of high possibility for my permit to get rejected, is it true? If so what should I do or what should the proper steps to be taken?

Thanks a lot and everyone stay safe and healthy.

Assuming your proof of funds are in order, you also need to show ties to your home country to satisfy the case officer that you will return there after graduation. Your wife can come with you and apply for a work permit, but in that case you might need to establish other ties such as a property or business. You should use your letter of explanation to discuss why a Canadian master's degree will improve your job prospects back home, and indicate that you understand the rules and won't overstay.
