Hello, I am applying for study visa in a couple of days and my question is about the submission of CAQ to the Canadian Embassy. A lot of people have told me that I can just submit the decision letter available online. I am only worried that if I submit only that, it might result in incomplete documentation. Although I have received the signed hard copy of same letter plus another certificate but I am just curious which documents are fundamentally important for me to keep while in Quebec. I don't want to submit incomplete document and I also don't want to lose a valuable document for future. Kindly enlighten me on this. Thanks!

Hi which college or university you have applied can you share your profile please, I have applied in Concordia university its been 2 months and I havent received the offer letter yet

Go ahead, send the original caq with the Certificate! When i applied for the visa i just printed the online acceptance of CAQ and when later i got the medical call, i sent the original CAQ(which i got via post after i applied for visa) with my passport! GO AHEAD

Regards,
mfm

mfm: Have you received your visa? Did they send you back your CAQ hard copy?

gvky: Going to McGill for Masters in dentistry

You should mail your university and ask them to courier you your offer letter. Tell them you will pay the courier charges.

I submitted the copy of CAQ emailed to me as the original CAQ was received after two months ,so you can submit the copy of CAQ,secondly Quebec authorities will fax a copy of decision to the embassy directly...

Bazinga,

One of my friend who got his visa last year did the same as i did. He got each and every document back from CHC so it is not a problem.
As you must be submitting important original documents so why make an exception?

MFM: You are right mate, I will submit the signed decision letter I have. However, I am keeping the copy which is in French, "REQUERANT" as it is advised that we keep this with us.

Better safe than sorry!

MFM and Momi, are you both going to Concordia?
