Depends on your total points. If you reach 49(single)/ 57 (with spouse), no french is needed. If not, they only assign points to level of B2 or above.

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/official-immigration-application/requirements-programs/language-knowledge.html

"For the evaluation of French knowledge, level 7 (advanced intermediate) of the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français des personnes immigrantes adultes or its equivalent (level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is the minimum threshold from which points are awarded."

For Nurse, wait for about two years. So you probably will hear from them around April 2016.

Is it true that the processing might be shorter now because of some changes. Since the adaptability was removed from the selction factors, so interview in no longer mandatory. if you reached 49 for single applicants then you will receive csq..

I already have an application number. How do I follow it up?

The email I wrote in the forms is inaccessible now due to a hacker attack.

Nag apply po kami last May 2014 for CSQ then nakreceive po kami ng receipt by august na naopen na yung file namin. 2 years ba talaga usually bago mailabas ang CSQ? saka kung hahanapan pa ba ulit kami ng ibang requirements like IELTS kasi this year expired na yung IELTS ko.

Thanks po

Because i know someone, nurse, based in manila, who applied back in October 2013, and he just received CSQ lately.

You currently not working as a nurse, should bear no affection on your application, on condition that you provided documents supporting your past working experience as a nurse.

@MiuMiu Thank you so much for that information. I submitted my docs ladt Dec 2013 and recieved my file number last April of 2014. At first they want me to take french exam because my points was not enough during the time that they increase the point system. Now that they lowered again the points they advised me not to take french exam anymore. In your own thinking, is it necessary to learn and take the French exam?

Your file number is dated April 2014? Then you probably will hear from them around April 2016 (if not later than that). I do not know your total points, therefore there is no way that I can advise you in a responsible way about whether you should take the French exam.

Hello everyone.

Please enlighten me about quebec immigration application. my questions are;

1. Since it takes time to get AOR / CSQ and if IELTS reached its validity date during this period.Do we still need to resubmit new IELTS?

2. If the answer is no for question#1, how about during the federal stage? Do we need to submit new ielts which is not expired?

3. If the answer is no for question#2, since we have submitted the original during quebec application, do we need to ask for another copy with the testing centre? Or are they going to send back all the documents submitted together with CSQ?

I'm sorry, not familiar with the procedure of quebec immigration. Thanks in advance to all who will answer. :)
