Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and hoping someone can give me some advice.

I'm Japanese and my common-law partner is Canadian, he's sponsoring me and we submitted the outland application in October 2014.
We both live in Montreal, Quebec and we have to go through Quebec government as well as Federal.

Yesterday I received the following email requesting documents;

Dear XXX,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue processing your application, please submit the following document(s):

> CSQ: Certificat de sélection du Québec from the ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles. This must be received at this office by: 2015/03/14
> RPRF: Pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee $490 This must be received at this office by: 2015/02/12
> Schedule A: Please provide Personal/Education History from 2006/05 onwards This must be received at this office by: 2015/02/12
For faster processing you may email us this document via attachment to the email address listed below.

When I contacted the Quebec Immigration office yesterday on the phone, the agent told me that I have to have an official acceptance letter from Canada in order to apply for a CSQ, and this letter doesn't seem to be the letter they're referring to.
My understanding was we only needed to submit a CSQ once the first stage was completed, but this is not the case??

I'm very confused and I hope someone can help me out!

Have you received your SA yet? Either by mail or email, depending on which one you chose. It will have instructions to send the application for a CSQ at that time but not before as the letter your sponsor receives is on the checklist. Check for that document in your junk mail if you used email as a method of communication. Be advised it takes a while to receive SA.

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/search-title/undertaking-application/kit-a.html .This is the link you would use once the info is requested, however by the sounds of it, SA was received somewhere but you missed it as the CIC would not have made a request like that without issuing SA.

That is the email I received with my husband's sponsorship approval as an attachment and also the address and subject of the email. I hope this helps.
