Hi!
So, ill be kind of clear in this. cuz is something a lot of people ask.
ITS KNOWN THAT MICC IS SUPPOSED TO SEND A COPY OF YOUR CSQ DIRECTLY TO CANADA.
BUT! in the letter that CIC sent you requesting CSQ, they SAID to MAIL them the one that says 'immigration" in the bottom.

When you received csq from quebec, you get 2 copies. One says "immigration" and another one says "requerant"

the one that says IMMIGRATION you MUST send it to CIC... as simple as that.
WHY? If MICC is supposed to comunicate with CIC?
Simple. CUZ YOU WERE REQUIRE TO SEND ONE AS WELL. CUZ YOU DONT WANT DELAYS IN YOUR PROCESS. WHAT IF MICC FORGOT TO SENT YOUR CSQ? OR IF IT GOT LOST IN THE MAIL BETWEEN CIC AND MICC? OR IF THE AGENT IS TOO LAZY TO MATCH IT TO YOUR FILE IN TIME?

Better be safe, you know?
Dont think about it too much. you get 2 copies, keep the one that says requerant and the one that says immigration well.. SEND IT TO IMMIGRATION! :)

GOOD LUCK, GOD BLESS

You are right! I assumed MICC would send a copy.....and 5 months later CPP ended up requesting a copy.
This has resulted in delaying processing by a month!

Emailed a scanned copy of the CSQ (page 3) as soon as you received. GOOD LUCK!

I didnt send copy of CSQ to VO,because they never asked.
And when ever I send them email,to ask them something, they answer me about proceeding time and they ll ask me for any additional document if it is needed.
So ,I am in 9th month of waiting.I assume they already have that copy?!

When you received your CSQ from Quebec. Did you got two copies plus a letter and the engagement?
in the letter, it must say that you need to send one of the copies to CIC...

My letter said MICC will send a copy to Ottawa. But that I should keep it around, just in case it is requested.

Exactly,MICC sd send, and if VO ask I can send too. But mine VO never ask.
So why wd I complicate? ::)

It wouldn't hurt to send either. At least there won't be a request for sure. :D

ITS KNOWN THAT MICC IS SUPPOSED TO SEND A COPY OF YOUR CSQ DIRECTLY TO CANADA.

We submitted an application OUTSIDE CANADA - OUTLAND SPOUSAL not inside CANADA.
They transmit the relevant information to the visa office proccessing the file - in our case, sydney, australia.
BUT! in the letter that CIC sent you requesting CSQ, they SAID to MAIL them the one that says 'immigration" in the bottom.
Our letter did not mention anything mailing the CSQ or what to do once we get CSQ for that matter. It basically said, apply.
When you received csq from quebec, you get 2 copies. One says "immigration" and another one says "requerant"

the one that says IMMIGRATION you MUST send it to CIC... as simple as that.
The MICC letter did not ask us to send it to CIC - it says should CIC require it, we have a copy to send to them.
WHY? If MICC is supposed to comunicate with CIC?

We don't want delays., but we were not required to send the CSQ to sydney. I spoke with MICC on May 12 and they said they transmitted the information on the same day (May 8ths) that they issued the CSQ. So I don't think MICC will forget, but i'm sure there have been such rare examples in the past. I don't believe they transmit the information by mail since we now have E-mail and fax to send a single non-secret document...
Better be safe, you know?

Other's have said scan and e-mail a copy, which takes a few minutes to reach sydney vs mailing the original after 2 weeks by air mail...but point taken.

GOOD LUCK, GOD BLESS

did they request any other documents to have a 5 month "delay"

I don't recommend making assumptions. I would find a way to send them a scanned copy by e-mail. IF they want the original they will ask you to mail it. or you can do both if you're worried or proactive and want to minimize delays...

Hi all,

Was anyone able to get RAMQ on an OUTLAND Spousal application before receiving their COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence)?
We are pregnant and have CSQ through outland spousal, but have been told that we are eligible only after COPR. Is this true???

I meant to say that CSQ was requested 5 months after I received it. Porcessing was delayed for a month.

Did you complete the CSQ before or after lodging your application to CIC?

In other words, did CIC ask you to apply to MICC in your Stage1 approval letter or did you apply before they asked you to do so...
Five 5 months to ask for something they would have received information on - is a very long time...

To apply for the CSQ one needs letter from the CIC. So...yes I had to wait till I received instruction to apply for CSQ. After being approved. The CSQ letter explicitly mentioned that MICC will send a copy of the CSQ to CIC, but that some VO may request it regardless. I followed the instructions and received a request after 5 months for a scanned copy of the CSQ. I was not shocked, ;) ....MICC had advised me that it might be requested.

It is always a good idea to go by the instructions. ;)

We tried that and they said no. The only way you can get anything is if you have a temporary residence status that permits employment. Even then, I think it might only be for a Driver's License. Once you are eligible to apply to RAMQ there is also a 3-month waiting period. (But I think that actually the rest of the month of application plus 2 more. So, if you applied today, you would be eligible for coverage August 1, if I remember right. If you applied next week, it would be September 1.)

At least during that waiting period healthcare services related to pregnancy are provided free of charge.
