Hi everyone,

I am an Ontario collage graduate and working for company based in Montreal.

My company is supporting my visa extension that expires next February.

The immigration lawyer asks me to provide reference letters from every company I have worked so far, since 2006.

She says they have to be letterheaded and include salary and job details. Not a simple reference letter from a colleague that you have worked together.

Is this a normal procedure with Quebec LMIA + QAC? While Canada immigration system is giving points only for last 5 years of work experience, why would she be asking me to prove 16 years of work experience?

Thanks.

If I recall correctly, the CAQ form requires you to list pertinent experiences to the Quebec job you are trying to get/keep. I don't think it is limited by a timeline.

Thanks, but that's not my question. I'm more concerned about proves instead of just listing.
