Hi All,

I'm sorry I am a newbie here. I was looking at http ://www .immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/rules-procedures.html

This page seems to say that we can submit applications "if you have advanced intermediate knowledge of French demonstrated by a standardized test." What does this mean?

This page gives the french tests for Quebec Immigration. http ://www .canadavisa.com/proving-french-language-ability.html What are the scores I need to get, to qualify as "advanced intermediate knowledge of French".

Thank you for your help.
O. O.

P. S. I'm sorry, I could not post the links above. Please DELETE the spaces in the URLs above.

The points on that page start at B2 in TEF / TEFaQ, so getting a score of about 65-70% on the various tests I think, but it not that easy to explain - the French tests have negative marking - so you get something wrong you lose more than just one question.

Thank you very much chskw. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Yes, I too thought about the 65%-70% range. I assumed to divide up the range into 3 parts i.e. beginner, intermediate, and advanced. So the border between intermediate and advanced would be around 67%. which they are referring to as advanced intermediate.

However, since the official Immigration Quebec website used the term advanced intermediate - I thought there might have been some more accurate definition of it. I'd be grateful to anyone who has more definite ideas.
