Quebec Immigration "en attente d’une décision"

Hello All,

I applied for Quebec in Nov 2010. After four years today I received this email from Ministère de l'Immigration. I am copying the text:

Voustrouverez en pièces jointes la lettre officielle du Ministère et, le cas échéant, ses annexes.

And in the attachment it says:

Objet : Votre «Demande de Certificat de Sélection du Québec»

Nous vous informons que votre dossier est en attente d'une décision. Nous communiquerons de nouveau avec vous lorsqu'une décision sera prise.


Does anyone know what it means? We had already been waiting for four years so why department wanted to just let us know by sending email that "application is waiting for a decision."

Has anyone else received such email? I am more interested to find out if anyone else received similar email and what next step was after this? Please share your experience..

The mail you received is a good sign,you are soon going to receive your CSQ.May I ask if recently did you update the documents ..

Thank you for the reply. Yes I was asked to update the documents in Jan this year. I re-submitted required documents (attested copies) in March 2014. Since then no update except this email which I received yesterday.

I was wondering if anyone else received same email and whether they received CSQ after that or interview call or may be rejection? I personally feel that if there was a rejection or intend to reject then they would have simply informed me for the same. But waiting for decision means they want to make sure we have updated contact details in their file. So just my thoughts but I could be wrong though.

Some of my friends told me that they received CSQ within a month after this email. I am also hoping the same.

My Education: - Master in Computer Application.
Work Experience: - 12 Years.
My Age: - 36
My Occupation:- Computer Network Technician - 2281.
My IELTS Score: - Listening: - 6.0, Reading: - 5.5, Writing: - 5.0, Speaking: - 6.5 Overall Band: - 6.0.

Spouse Education:- M.Phil(English).
Work Experience:- 10 Years.
Spouse Age:- 34
Spouse Occupation:- College Lecturer - 4011

Please tell me who much i will score and can i apply to Quebec immigration without French.

Hi Guys,

Today I called MIDI and according to them my CSQ was issued two weeks ago which I will receive by mail. So basically waiting for decision meant CSQ

Now its time for federal part. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting.
