lemans, will do! just sent in everything today by mail, Aramex. Of course, we are still waiting for the FBI background check, but we submitted proof that it has been requested and is being processed. Good luck to all. This forum is great as no one from the Canadian government really responds at this stage, so it is good to see what is happening with others in the same boat!

Anyone got any new updates??
FBI? You mean CSIS....FBI is in the United States.

I think now its useless to apply for it, because they don't recognize all degrees not from French university or Lebanese university only.
this will help during CSQ process, can prove to get 10 points instead of 6 points for education.

your profession not regulated, no need to bother,
like CHERIF his profession regulated he must study/training and do exam in FRENCH language to be able to work...
after that he will post 2013 not 2014 :D

I disagree. I think getting your studies compared is important, especially when applying for jobs because none of your have "Canadian experience". You can include the letter with your resume to show Canadian employers your studies are just as good as any Canadian. I also suggest you do this before you arrive to Canada, as it can take a couple of months to receive the comparison back. The CIC website also recommends you do so.

I say it actually depends on the years of experience, and the level of experience that you have. In many cases, employers would look for multinational experience, and if you got it, then there won't be a real need for the comparative.

when you apply to 10 employers if only 2 consider the multinational experiences you can increase your chance to get a better job with the comparitive evaluation in hand.. it doesnt cost much but it takes time
