Hey folks!
I have tried searching for recent information on outland sponsorship via Quebec for some time now but no luck. Are there any guys in here who are currently going through it or planning to? We might all join ideas here and support each other through the process.

Thanks

Hi guys, I actually have a very simple question that I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

I'm about to send the papers to sponsor my wife, and I'm aware of the inland / outland application.
My question is: what makes an inland application inland, and an outland application outland. I mean, do I mark a checkbox? To be outland, do we have to send the papers to the embassy in Brazil (our country of origin) and that's it? If we send the papers here to Canada, will it make it an inland application?

Thank you guys!

Go to cic website. When trying to select the forms to fill they will ask u all those questions. You choose which one applies to your situation and the applicable set of forms plus checklist and application guide will pop up. All applications initially go to Mississauga.

To be honest, I didn't get anywhere stating inland or outland. The only thing is "is she living with you"? She has a tourist visa, and she's living with me at the moment although she has a date to leave.

If they ask you to leave a section blank, you have to leave it blank. If you fill it, they will return your application.

I don't know if this thread is active, but I'm curious if anyone knows about outland sponsorship to Quebec when both partners (one a Canadian citizen, one foreign) are living outside of Canada. I don't want to be duplicitous in our application, but it seems like the process would be easier if we stated that our intention was to move to BC and live with family, and then move to Quebec immediately as a citizen an PR card holder. I want to do things above board, but we I fill out the sponsorship application and there's a question asking if we intend to settle in Quebec or anywhere else, marking Quebec seems like an invitation to a headache. Is that unavoidable?

Yes it is unavoidable. If you intend to reside in quebec then you apply under quebec. Otherwise u land in BC and then move later.

Hello, I am currently in the process of sponsoring my wife. We both live in Vietnam. We have received the email from CIC telling us our application has been forwarded to the visa office in Singapore and we should send our Quebec application. I am in the process of filling the application but I just realized that I have to submit a proof of my address in Quebec (as well as a document proving that I will return to Quebec when the application is complete). I do not have an address in Quebec as I have been living in Vietnam for the past 4 years. Does that mean I can not apply for Quebec? If not, what should I do?
