No dear lemans I don't. I was surprised with I saw in the table that I live in Kuwait and I don't know who wrote this next to my name. Unfortunately I live in Damascus and I think if I get the CSQ, my federal applicatoin will be processed in Jordan.

Its clear that applicants are called to the interview according to the date of completion of file and not the date of submitting the application, and thats what they mentioned in the "CSQ processing time" webpage:

" Procedure
Identify your country of habitual residence (the one you recorded in your application for a selection certificate). Applications currently processed during the selection interview are those that were SUBMITTED IN THE MONTHS INDICATED and were ((COMPLETE at that time)). "

Friends:

I applied with a full package in December 2010; and then when i moved to Saudi for work; i sent an update including my work contract (and...) and that was done in May 2011; so when do you think is the "file completion" date?? is it when i applied or when i sent the update?!

I'm also planning to send a new update including my renewed contract and a brief of my new work experience... so this step will make my application better or will it delay my file in general?!

What do you think?!

first if u moved to KSA .. that doesnt mean that ur application will be transferred to KSA, so ur visa office is still beirut.

second, regarding ur file competion i think .. it will be considered complete since applying date (if they didnt ask later on for any documents from their side) ... and just major updates make delay in processing .. like adding a spouse or a child .. requesting file transfer to another visa office .. and so on ... moreover, i dont think its useful to keep sending updates .. as now only what mentioned in ur application will be taken in consideration .. any updates take them with u to ur interview .. because at that time the final points are granted and u may get extra points for them ... the only update that is useful to submit ... is the french language test.

by the way, my case is similar to urs .. i submitted my application in beirut before coming here and i mentioned in it .. KSA as my residance place
and since that that time i have documents for 2 more years of exp ... but iam keeping them till the interview date.

In fact; I am Syrian and I applied in Damascus VO back in Dec 2010; and when I delivered my docs; they checked them all and did not ask for any extra document (French test was included)... and an update was sent later... so I'll not send anything now; I appreciate your advice!

But' what will be my VO for the federal part since I work in Saudi?? People told me it's going to be either Amman or London; so what is your input?

Dear vector,

for the federal application, they ask u in the application form to mention which visa office you choose for processing ur file (either the one in ur country or that of the country u are living in) ... so in that time u may decide which one u choose, in our case .. if we choose our country of residency ( KSA ) .. then our file will be processed in London visa office.
federal immigration files of (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Yemen) are all processed in London visa office.

lets finish from the CSQ stage first, and we will have the time to choose the one where processing time is less for the federal part ;)

All files are transferred to Montreal

After CSQ all gulf residents VO office is Abu Dhabi, That's what was written on CSQ for people who got it,
So for our federal part its Abu Dhabi visa office

i dont know if the rules changed now
but im talking about what mentioned in the official website .. and what they informed me in beirut visa office when i applied for CSQ there !

I agree with lemans .you do not choose the visa office because it is printed in your CSQ as in my case so you fill the federal application according to CSQ. now if you change your country and you would like to change your visa office where you originally mention in your first application then you need to submit request for that.
