Quarantine process for 5 year old

Is the 3 days hotel stay mandatory for a 5 year old kid? My friend's daughter is coming back to Canada along with his friend. So he was wondering if he can pick her up from airport and directly bring her home or will she have to stay in hotel to do quarantine?

Right now there are no exemptions on the website based on age. She has to have booked and paid 3 day quarantine and a negative Covid test to enter Canada and even board the plan. Everyone even infants and children have to quarantine. You can contact IIRC and see If they would give her an exemption for hotel quarantine.

You may be able to opt in to stay with her in the quarantine hotel or she can stay with your friend.
