Quarantine in different location

I am planing to land Toronto but my school is in London so i want to be in quarantine in London. Can i rent a car, go there and put myself in quarantine? Has anybody done that?

You can.

You might be better off making taxi arrangements rather than renting a car.

Toronto to London is 2.30 hour drive. I don't want to pay 5 thousand dollars to taxi. Also why would anyone wants to sit in a car with a stranger? That's worst than renting a car imho.

Just giving you options. Ultimately your choice.

Pearson to London is more like 1.5 hours. If you go with the taxi/limo option, you would arrange a car service in advance for a flat fee (not a metered taxi). Many car services are now taking extra measures to keep things safe with COVID-19.

If you're renting a car, there's still risk and there's a good chance you'll still end up in a taxi since you'll need to drop the car off and then somehow get home (or take public transit, I suppose).
