Q about Proof of Funds

Hi all,

I hope all of you are doing well. I am applying for canadian immigration and I found that it requires me to show certain amount of money as a proof of funds for 6 months. I need your help as I am not the only one who is applying. My brother and I are both applying together so I wanna know whether we both have to show
total of $15,772 as we both are family or do each of us has to show $12,669 ?

I found info of proof of funds quite vague. I mean it counted spouse and children as family members but not siblings or parents so what should I do in this case?

Kindly help me in this regard, I would be really grateful.

If both of us, me and my brother, has to show $12,669 then is it possible for us to show the same $12,669 in a single bank account ? or Do each of us has to show separate $12,669 funds in separate bank accounts?
