Hi,
I have applied for immigration at Sydney under Federal Skill workers on August 1, 2011. Now more than 3 months have passed and I still have not received my file number.
Anyways, the cause of concern is I want to pull back my file. Can you guide me, how can I pull back my file ?

I will appreciate your help in this case.
Thanks.

If you can somehow check that your C.C has been charged with the processing amount or not??
or may be you can check with your B.D issuing bank if it was encashed by CIO or not?
If you are lucky and have not crossed the PER stage and your payment also not encashed, then the best way is to give standing instructions on your C.C or stop payment instructions to your bank for the B.D so that CIC will not be able to encash your payment...remember if you get PER and then file gets transferred to the VO, then you may not get a refund of your processing fees even if you want to withdraw your application...so act fast...
Seniors pls correct me if I am wrong !!
Some one if has some other solution, pls post and help nsandhu1

Thanks JUNER 2011 for your help regarding this. But it is still not clear to me that how can I withdraw my file. I will try to stop making payment. But on the other note, what are the steps to withdraw the file if I still do not have my file number. Where I can put my request and to whom I can make a request for withdrawing the file?

If you will stop the payment CIC will issue NER due to incorect payment and will send you the file.

Thanks Alexchristi.
Is there any other way apart from stopping the payment? Like where I can contact and with whom I can talk? If anybody knows about it, please help me out. It is really urgent and I want to pull back my file as soon as possible.

Without file number known, I doubt if there is a way to contact CIC regarding the application, and even if you send a correspondence, it would be directed to the general receiving address (courier/mail) of CIC. Once they receive such a communication from you, how can they or we be sure that the application is at that very station and has not moved on to some other department for verification/review etc?
So act fast and withdraw the payment 1st
