PRTD - Visitor Visa or land border

Hi guys,

I became a permanent resident on September 21st this year and I will travel to Europe in two weeks without having received my PR card. I know that in order to board a plane back to Canada I would need a PR travel document but I simply won't have enough time while there to apply and receive my passport back with the PRTD.

I still have a multiple entries visitor visa valid until 2019. Will I be allowed to board the plane by the airline agents? Or really the only option I have is to land in the US and cross the board on a private vehicle.

You'll likely be allowed to board the plane with the TRV, but many people here will say not to do this. Proceed at your own risk.
The other option is to request for expedited processing of the PRTD, I've heard a few instances where it takes 2 business days.
