PRTD Processing time from Pakistan

Hi,


We are travelling to Pakistan and had applied for the renewal of PR cards. Unfortunately didn't received the PR cards.
Any idea how much time its taking nowadays for the PRTD if applying from Pakistan?

Anyone applied recently.

Hi, Sorry about the late response. Actually we got them back but because of Canada post strike we were unable to get them before our departure. Ultimately applied PRTD before leaving Canada. And once landed in Pakistan submitted the passports in Lahore. It took about 5 working days for the passports

The website says that you need to be out of Canada to apply for a PRTD. Can I apply while I am still in Canada? Also, how long after you applied were your applications for PRTD approved?

No issues in that, just select on the first screen that you are out of Canada and then in the letter write it down that you are traveling so need it because your stay is short. Yes I had applied while being in Canada.

Technically true but IRCC hasn’t prevented people from applying while still in Canada before they leave.

Expired PR
Residency completed- like bills etc, for kids school attendance/results
There will be a list of the document generated at the end


And yeah technically true thats why IRCC don't raise any issue. I had also applied after seeing somewhere on this forum or reddit
