Hi,
Does anyone know what the deadline is for submitting one's passport after the "passport request email" is received from IRCC after a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) application is approved?
I'm currently in Canada and I applied for renewal of my PR card 2 weeks ago but I need to travel in around 25 days and I'm not sure if I'll receive the card in time. I'm going on a month long trip to my home country (Egypt) from which I'll travel to different country for 3 weeks and return back to Egypt. In case I don't receive my new PR card in time for my trip and in order to return to Canada as soon as possible after my trip, I'm considering applying for a PRTD from Egypt as soon as I arrive, then travel to the different country while the application is being processed. I just wanted to make sure that, in case I receive the "passport request email" while I'm in the different country, that they'll give me enough time to submit the passport from Egypt after the 3 weeks.
Your input and/or experience would be highly appreciated.
