PRTD - CLARIFICATION ON IMM 5627 CHECKLIST

Dear All,

I have gone thru checklist IMM 5627 to apply for a PRTD. I am confused as questions 6 and 7 seem to be conflicting. Q 6 requires to attach 'original and valid passport'. On the other hand, Q 7 states that original passport and documents should not be attached.

What is the correct thing to be done ?

Maybe read the checklist again

Q6 Original and valid passport

Q7 You must provide photocopies of all previous passports or travel documents used in the 5 years immediately before the application. Do not send originals as they will not be returned to you.

The second question Q7 refers to previous passports if any not your current passport which would be returned and to only send photocopies of previous passports.

If you do not have any previous passports in the 5 years before application then Q7 is not relevant

Note maybe checkout the online version of PRTD introduced due to COVID
