PRTD chance of being rejected

I am a PR in Canada (less than 5 years ago) having fulfilled 770 days in Canada and have already applied for a PR Renewal (which is normally taking 4-6 months now)

Meanwhile, since i have a family emergency I have to leave for a short (2-3 weeks trip). Is there a chance that if I apply for PRTD it may get rejected?
