Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello....I've been working hard on completing my sponsorship application...and its almost ready to be sent...already paid the fee!

But now I'd like to get ready for this phone interview....cbsa officers never said what kind of interview this is...prra??....Is PRRA submited in paper?? and this is Pre-prra interview?? I have no clue!

anyways...does anyone know what they ask on these interviews???

I have some idea what they'll ask me...but if you've been through it can u please write some examples of how it all went....THANK YOU!

I, along with many others here, are pulling for you VioletBlue.
It's possible that it's a pre-removal interview, which could hopefully become a PRRA interview, so that you can plead your case!!

Please keep us posted!

Good luck!!

Thank you! This is like fighting for your Life!! But after that initial shock and feeling totally hopeless now I'm ready to fix my mistake! This was gonna happen sooner or later so now its time to fight for what I want....hopefully it all turns out ok in the end :)

When is your interview?

From what you shared in your other threads, it appears that a PRRA interview may be your only hope.

Have you been assembling a solid argument for why you cannot return to Bosnia?

Yep :)...which is why I was asking ppl who went through it for some tips...

Ok one q I have...if they ask me what I did all these years...work-wise.....should I be honest and say I babysat under the table??? And wasn't doing any illegal stuff...or should I Not say anything and tell them my husband supported me??? I'm leaning towardsbtelling the truth...but will they use that against me!?

Oooh...That's a tough one.

Technically, you were doing illegal stuff by working without authorization, but...being totally honest about things could outweigh that in their eyes...maybe?!?!
Ultimately, you will have to make that decision I guess.

Yeah.....what I meant was I wasn't involved in any crinal activities...as I read somewhere if u say u were out of work for such a long time they might think u did something like that....so yeah...tough...

The problem you will face there, is technically you WERE involved in criminal activities. Working without a permit in Canada is a criminal offense. So while you weren't doing the things most folks think of as criminal, like drug running, robbing folks or prostitution or something like that, you were engaged in criminal activities and that can have a very negative impact on you. Even using the "honesty is the best policy" rule, sadly sometimes it does bite you in the arse end!

I also want to share this link with you:
https://secure.immigration.ca/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=8835&title=prra-help

The person that posted the fifth message appears to be an immigration lawyer. He indicates that the CBSA policy, regarding the administrative deferral of removal (before Inland application is filed) for PRRA has changed as of November 2011. Since CIC has not updated their publication ip08, I have no idea if this is true, but...the person posting the message said that it is.

Don't know if that would apply to you anyway, since your application has not been submitted.

Thanks ppl! I think ultimately it will depend on Who I have the interview With....either this person will take into consideration all the facts and circumstances or they won't...it can go either way....so I can only prepare myself as best as possible and hope for the best...

But one more Q.....PRRA is a Written application right!? They can't to prra over the phone can they!?

It says they send u the application package which u have to fill in 15 days and submit...and then u have extra 15 days to submit any additional stuff...

VioletBlue, are you thinking of speaking to an immigration lawyer experienced in this type of cases before the interview? If not, I really think you should because they will be aware of any avenues you could explore.

VioletBlue,

I see that you have a new post in the General Immigration forum that's related to your situation. You mention that you will be submitting an application, which means you didn't get it in before your interview as you had planned? What happened?

Did you already have your interview??

Hey Ponga :)...no I haven't...sending it tomorrow! And my interview is next week
