Protected Person minor Children's needs a study permit in Canada or No

In April 2023 we applied as a refugee and got open work permits for all family members including minor kids age 9 & 7 for 2years duration. After 1year in June 2024 we got approved and become protected persons, later in same month June 2024 we have applied for PR and in waiting AOR came in November 2024.

our open work permits expires in March 2025 and all adults applied for OWP renewal and got approved till March 2027 , where as kids OWP not renewed yet. did this will impact on their PR application? AS they are minor they don't need work permits (they don't do work).

My question is should i apply for kids OWP renewal or Study permit (if i do apply for study they asked university or college Letter of acceptance etc on portal ) which we don't have and those even not applicable for my kids who are minor still at the age of 7year and 9 year grade 2 and grade 4 respectively?

I wanted to get their SIN for open RESP account and today i went to service Canada they said their status in Canada (WP) has expired so renew it then only you will able to get their SIN

Anyone gone through such personal experience with?

Need solution with authentic / link or references from any ircc website about such issue.

it does NOT affect their PR application.
* Your PR application (as protected persons) is processed independently of temporary status like work permits.
* Even if a child’s work permit expires, their PR eligibility remains intact as long as
* They are included as dependents in your PR file
* You maintain compliance overall
Children of protected persons can attend school without a study permit
Work permits for minors are usually unnecessary

To get a SIN, children must have valid temporary status OR Be a PR
Restoration of status allowed within 90 days
