Dear all,

I am from Pakistan and my e-case status is "received by London Visa office". My mailing address on E status site is office address where I worked till December 2010. In January 2011 I changed job due to which my office address changed. Do I need to inform CHC or should I wait for email of 2nd AOR?

Secondly, I heard that CHC do not accept property document as proof of funds. Is it mentioned any where? I want to purchase a plot and show it as a proof of funds.

Please advise.

Read the following paragraph of new checklist
The officer will base his/her decision on the documents on file at the time of the assessment. In the following circumstances, it is
your responsibility to notify the visa office processing your case and provide the relevant supporting documentation if there are
changes in the following:
• family status (e.g. marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation, birth, adoption, death of the
principal applicant or any accompanying family member, including grandchildren born to dependent children);
• education (e.g. completion of another degree): or
• mailing address/e-mail address/contact information.

Any changes which we have not been informed of will delay processing or may result in the refusal of the application or the
exclusion of a family member.
Settlement Funds (if applicable)
For instructions, please visit the "Proof of Funds" section of our website at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp.

Provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible currency available for settlement in
Canada:
• current bank certification letter; or
• evidence of savings balance; or
• fixed or time deposit statements.

Always you should notify the change of address to the visa office.
The property* will not be accepted by visa offices as POF and the best option is bank deposit.

*Note: Rare cases are heard about accepting property evaluation certificate by some of the visa officers. The procedure for such thing is more expensive and finally it could be refused also. No assurance will be there whether it would be accepted or not.

Even if they would accept a plot as proof of funds at application stage (and this varies from visa office to visa office and sometimes at the discretion of the individual visa officer), it will certainly not be accepted when you complete your record of landing, so you would have to sell the plot/property and that stage. And what happens if you cannot sell it? Then you can't land.

If you have the funds available as cash my advice would be to keep the cash and provide the cash statement as your proof of funding.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

Keep it in cash. Property value is usually not accepted from Pakistan.
Someone on this forum (dont remmember name) was asked to re-submit proof of funds, and the letter explicitly mentioned no property etc.

So better to be safe.

Thanks all for your useful advises :)
