Seriously, don't let our mistakes convince you that you don't need to put together a good app with good proofs, but I think we Americans are generally given the benefit of the doubt unless we give CIC reason to suspect something fishy. Gather what you've got, and with no weird issues around your relationship, you should absolutely be fine.
