Hi everyone,
I just got my LMIA approved. While applying to my work visa I got concerned about one of my past experiences.
I owned a small company and worked for only one employer for more than one year.
We had a work contract specifying working hours, salary, duties... just like a normal employment contract.
The only difference is that I got payed through "my company", that was there only for fiscal reasons.
Therefore, I issued invoices that got deposited directly to my personal bank account.
If you are Brazilian, you may know that is common to work as a MEI (Individual micro entrepreneur).
Should I specify that I was self-employed or should I only provide the letter from the employer, contract, and invoices from my company to the employer?
How should I provide proof of this job experience?
Thank you.
Best Regards,
